Cousine Island


 A private nature reserve on a 25 hectare island offers the perfect retreat from civilisation. The island is a 15 minute helicopter ride from Victoria Airport on the island of Mahé and is only 1.4 km long and 800m wide.

Available to guests are an open-air dining room in the main building, bar, lounge, air-conditioned library with a view of the neighbouring islands of Praslin and Aride, offering books, videos, Internet access, DVDs and CDs, a small rustic spa centre, outdoor swimming pool, gym, and a conference room for 10 people. Creole, European, and international meals are prepared by chefs to the guests’ wishes. There are 15 staff members available for the guests.

Accommodation for the island’s 10 guests is provided in 4 elegant French colonial-style villas. The villas are separated from one another by tropical vegetation, which ensures privacy, and they are only 30 m from the beach.

Each villa boasts 175 m2 and is tastefully appointed with comfortable furniture. Each air-conditioned villa offers a spacious bedroom with a view of the ocean, a living-room, bathroom with two showers, two sinks, a jacuzzi, outdoor shower, satellite TV, DVD player, telephone, and veranda.

Discover the island with a local environmental protection specialist. Trips to nearby islands can be arranged, as well as sailing, snorkelling, kayaking, fishing, scuba-diving, helicopter trips, and bird and dolphin watching. Guests can participate in nature protection activities, such as tree planting or tortoise monitoring, depending on the season.
