Kenya, Tanzania / Masai Mara Serengeti

The Serian camp situated by the Mara River, which flows through a national park of the same name, is situated in the shade of full-grown trees. It is a 5 hour drive or a 1 hour flight from Nairobi – Wilson Airport or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

The Masai Mara / Serengeti ecosystem hosts on its plains the last large herds of wild animals. In addition to the beautiful scenic landscape, this area is known for the annual migration of nearly two million zebras, antelopes, gnus, and other wildlife. The animals roam throughout the territories of the Masai Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorngoro National Parks, which stretch across parts of Kenya and Tanzania. In addition to the animals mentioned above, elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas also move with the herds.

The main Serian camp offers seven tents that can be booked individually or as a group. Four tents are available in the somewhat more private Ngare Serian across the river, and 5 tents at Nkorombo mobile campsite. An off-road vehicle with a driver and a guide for the “Safari Game Drive” (animal-watching during trips into the bush) is available to each client.

Activities offered include: river fishing, hiking, and safaris. Helicopter and hot-air balloon flights are possible upon arrangement.

During your safari, you are actively involved in supporting local sustainable development. You can help collect data on large cats for research, and contribute to the provision of social and medical care in the local village.
